This week the devotions I have been reading all center around praising God! It reminded me of the song that we sang at my church when I was growing up.
Praise God from Whom all blessings flow
Praise Him all creatures here below
Praise Him above, you heavenly host
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost
Praising God gives us Hope. When we think about all that God has done and is doing for us it helps put in perspective the problems we face. While we should leave our past behind us it is always good to remember what God has provided and the promises he has kept. This gives us Hope for the future.
We can praise Him in the storm because we know that He is faithful and will always stand by His word. He will never leave us alone.
John 16:33 is one of my life verses.
“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.””
My favorite part of that verse is take heart, in other words don’t give up, remember that He is there. Praise God we have a loving Father that we can always depend on!
