The story of Peter on the water is one that inspires me to keep my eyes on Jesus. Peter was called out of that boat to walk to Jesus. As Peter walked toward Him he focused on Jesus. Then something happened and his attention diverted to the winds or waves, and he instantly started sinking.
How many times have we been focused on Jesus then “one more thing happens” and we start spiraling downward. Trust me I am not judging, I hate to admit it happens to me. However, God is a loving Father who knows that His children will need constant reassurance that we are going to be okay.
He gave us His promises for us to read and study so that we can rest in His love! He gave His Son so that we can rest in His Hope! He gave his Spirit to guide us forward so we can finish what He has started within us!
