We have been reading through the Bible as a church. We are currently in Exodus. As I read I love how God is constantly seeking a relationship with us! He meets with Moses Face to Face. He is having them build a Tabernacle where He will dwell among them. God is demonstrating His love and desire for a relationship with us; even after the Israelites forget over and over what God has done for them, He still shows mercy and wants to dwell with them!! What a love that is for us, a love that was demonstrated on the Cross for us by Jesus! God sent the Holy Spirit to dwell within us after we accept Him!
Here is an ouch moment for me that came to mind. Think about the fact that the people couldn’t look at Moses because his face showed He had been in the presence of God. Do we appear different? We are His chosen people. Can people look at us and see Jesus? For me, sometimes, the answer is yes, but other times, I am sad to say that my flesh and human emotions have won out. I need to remember to respond and not react to situations. When we take time to stop and respond, that means we have time to process and ask Jesus to help us with the problems.
Dear Jesus, help me radiate your love so people can see you! Help me live and love like you did so I can point people to you! In Jesus’s name, I pray, amen.
